The Nutrition Benefits of Humic and Fulvic Acid
A 2004 study using Department of Agriculture data from 1950 and 1999 concluded "reliable declines" in nutritional content of 43 different fruits and vegetables studied. Dr. Donald Davis who led the team of researchers from the University of Texas said this:
"Efforts to breed new varieties of crops that provide greater yield, pest resistance and climate adaptability have allowed crops to grow bigger and more rapidly," reported Davis, "but their ability to manufacture or uptake nutrients has not kept pace with their rapid growth."
Even those who make the effort to cook well and eat healthy, can still lack essential nutrition due to the depletion of our soils.
Humic and Fulvic acids are large molecules containing many electrically charged bonding sites that are able to "grab" onto minerals, vitamins, electrolytes and amino acids and transport them easily into the cell. As many as 70 different nutrients have been identified being carried by these workhorses.
Many have warned us about supplements that are full of good ingredients that never get absorbed. Fulvic acid is totally bioavailable so it easily carries nutrients across the cell wall to deliver potent nutrition. It can even cross the highly protective blood brain barrier, getting this nutrition directly to the brain.
